What is a tag and how do I add tags to pictures?

Tags are single words used to identify things about a picture to help you and others find pictures of interest. For example, you might tag a picture of a baseball game with: redsox fenway baseball.

To add tags to a picture start a line of text in the picture message or email with 't '. For example, to tag a picture with skyscraper and hong kong put the following text into the picture message or email: t skyscraper hongkong. You can also add tags to an already uploaded picture by going to the edit page.

Note that only single words can be used as tags so use hongkong rather than hong kong. You can also add tags to your own pictures after you have uploaded them to the snapmylife site, using the edit picture feature.

The SnapMyLife service will also add suggested tags to some pictures - these are called auto tags. You can edit or delete auto tags by using the Edit picture link on each picture.
